"A Christmas Story"       

WE WISH TO THANK EVERYONE FOR PARTICIPATING AND FOR COMING OUT TO ENJOY THIS YEAR'S EVENT! WE HAD GREAT WEATHER AND HOPE EVERYONE HAD A GREAT TIME! WE HAD GREAT DANCERS, PERFROMANCES, AND SOME WONDERFULLY DECORATED FLOATS THIS YEAR.
WINNERS OF THE FLOAT COMPETITION ARE LISTED BELOW, CONGRATULATION TO THE MOTHER CONNECTION FOR ANOTHER WIN THIS YEAR!

 The Andover Firefighter's Relief Association, with assistance from The Andover Firefighters union, I.A.F.F. LOCAL 1658, has hosted the event since 1955, providing a majority of the funding and support needed.  This tradition began with an annual fire truck parade around town, featuring Santa, followed by a fire house visit at the old Park Street Station. OVER THE YEARS IT has transformed into the great event it is today with numerous groups now taking part. The holiday parade is one of the many ways your local firefighters give back to the community they serve.

The Andover Firefighters once again built a fantastic "fired up float" for the crowd, complete with a training smoke simulator!

The parade committee is honoring one of their own this year, as the recently retired fire Lieutenant was nominated for his lifelong service to the community. Jim was a firefighter for 34 years as well as a member of both the Andover Housing Authority and the Andover Retirement Board. Jim also served area firefighters as a District Vice President of the Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts for many years.

2014 Parade Participant Line Up

Please inform the parade committee via email as soon as possible if your group is not on the list. Also note some groups may be reassigned as deemed necessary by the committee the day of the event. Please arrive early if your group has a large space as staging fills up very quickly. Restrooms will be available in the rear of the complex. Scouting groups will stage in the park close to Whittier Court. For everyone's safety, we are attempting to limit vehicle traffic in staging...Please let members of your group know to use the drop off loop in front of the Doherty School.
